The New Swiss Data Protection Act

The new Swiss Data Protection Act will come into force on September 1, 2023.

From this date, you will also need a cookie banner on your website in Switzerland to obtain user consent. Make sure you use a consent management platform that scans your cookies and actually blocks them if you don’t have user consent. Your privacy policy or cookie policy should also mention the cookies used on your website.

So be sure to allow enough time for preparation.
