Challenge
Chicorée, the Swiss fashion label with over 170 stores across Switzerland and around 900 employees, was faced with the challenge of documenting its internal data processing for the new Swiss Data Protection Act.In Chicorée's case, this is no easy task, as customer data is processed by various third parties and different systems.
Solution
Chicorée and avolut, who is responsible for Chicorée's technical infrastructure, the web platform and app, decided that a data processing register is necessary due to the new Swiss Data Protection Act.Advance Metrics created the data processing register based on questionnaires and interviews with stakeholders at Chicorée, avolut and other third parties.
Advance Metrics provided us with efficient advice and created the necessary data processing register in a way that increased our understanding and awareness of the collection of personal data. We greatly appreciate the transparent exchange and are pleased that we can now map our data processing processes transparently and guarantee our customers trustworthy data handling.

In this way, existing gaps in the data processing activities could also be filled.Chicorée and avolut now have a register of all personal data processing activities and are prepared for the future: The persons responsible are now aware that future changes to the infrastructure will entail a data protection impact assessment and adjustments to the data processing register.
